The aim of present literature collection on past work done on gastro retentive microcapsules by factorial design. Many researchers are getting attracted towards the design of experiments (DoE) in the optimization of drug delivery systems. Only a fraction of study was optimized till date. DoE software is easy to use, affordable and availability with the simple click of a computer mouse. The authors made sufficient afford to list out the various independent variables like different polymers used and the response generated from them viz., yield, size of microcapsules, drug trapefficacy and % cumulative drug release were used in the optimization of gastro retentive microcapsules. |
